Unity Amidst Diversity: The Call of Amity and Recognition for All Philippine Eagles’ Different Faction

A personal Easter 2024 Reflection for all Philippine Eagles, by Kuya Wyn Elnas, Past President 2022, Rajah Humabon Eagles Club.

In the realm of human organizations, the narrative of division and schism is as old as time itself. History has been a testament to the fracturing of once-unified entities into factions and groups, each vying for recognition and supremacy. However, amidst this backdrop of discord, there arises a clarion call for unity—a call that resonates deeply within the ethos of The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles, Inc. (TFOE-PEI).

At the heart of this call lies the principle of unity in federalism, under the banner of One Philippine Eagles. This call transcends the boundaries of factionalism and division, advocating for amity and recognition among all groups. It seeks to forge a collective identity that embraces diversity while fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity.

Throughout history, renowned organizations across the globe have grappled with the specter of division. From the schism between Orthodox Catholic Christians and Roman Catholics with the Protestants. Muslims were divided into seven (7) secs namely the Sunni, Shia, Whabbi, Salafi, Berelvi, Sufi and Deobandi. These divisions are even pervasive. Even within organizations like Freemasonry, in 1751, the rift between Ancients or Antients (The Most Ancient and Honourable Society of Free and Accepted Masons and the Moderns (Grand Lodge of England). Freemasonry’s great divide in 1877, have drawn the line from the Regular Freemasons of UGLE and that of Continental irregular Freemasons of GOdF, and the emergence of Mixed Freemasons in 1893, serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges of unity amidst diversity.

However, the TFOE-PE, Inc. stands poised an attempt to defy this historical precedent. It can not be avoided. With its guiding principle of “Service Through Strong Brotherhood,” the organization seeks to translate this ethos into a unifying force that transcends the barriers of factionalism. If only we can recognize that service to others knows no bounds and requires no exclusivity to one group, we can move forward, and together, we can soar high as one Eagles.

By rallying under the banner of Philippine Eagles, the TFOE-PE, Inc. can endeavour to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect and initiate amity and recognition among all factions and groups. It acknowledges that while differences may exist, they need not be divisive. Instead, they can be celebrated as a testament to the richness of human experience and the diversity of perspectives.

The call for unity among all factions or groups, under the banner of One Philippine Eagles, represents a paradigm shift in the narrative of division and discord. It is a testament to the enduring spirit of solidarity and brotherhood that defines the TFOE-PE, Inc. Through its commitment to Service Through Strong Brotherhood, under the four pillars of our order, BROTHERHOOD, SERVICE, UNITY, and DIVINE POWER, the organization paves the way for a future where diversity is celebrated and unity reigns supreme.

SO MOTE IT BE.
